BBC's "Quick Guide to Experimental Music" has a downloadable 30 second audio clip of John Cage's "4:33." Is it just me who finds this funny and a bit unnecessary? (The clip, not the "song.")

This Lollapalooza thing has just gone too far. Nextticketing.com has refunded the purchase price and the convenience fee I paid for my ticket, but now they tell me $4.10 of my final purchase price was a non-refundable "processing" fee. This band blew me away, it's like watching an indie rock gospel revival without all that pesky religion. A local SF band called The Pleased opened up for them, who pleasantly surprised me, hopefully when I move there I'll get to see more of them.

If you are a fan of The STROKES and you have the opportunity to see them live, you would be a fool to miss it. Get your ticket the day they go on sale, or beforehand if you can.
