[There's definite concern and fear in his voice as he says this. Sure, so he hadn't seen the guy around for a couple of days now, but he'd just figured the doctor was busy at the clinic or with something else.]

Yeah. But his stuff's all here. [She is quick to clarify, since this is Emil.]

Maybe he was kidnapped or something...

[She sounds unconvinced. A lack of struggle signs and Slayer's intuition combined make her doubt that the droids were involved.]

[What had previously been just a smidgen of lacklustre attention now explodes into something far more keen and rapt.]

You've seen him? [Her voice sounds as though it is wound oh-so-tight with worry.]

The note on the fridge says work. Long work shift, though.

Still alive, but I'm not quite sure where my wits are. [ And he sounds tired. Trekking through the desert for so long and not being accustomed to that landscape has apparently taken its toll on him. ]

Bones!

[That is the sound of relief mixed with care and worry and professional panic.] Oh my God, where are you? Are you trying to give me spontaneous grey hairs?

[ Ah, that hysterical trace to her voice does not help with the guilt and he sheepishly clears his throat before answering. ] I'm in the desert.

[Pieces are falling into place. Jack had been there, after all. Perhaps he still was.] Work, huh? You went to get him.

[Voice]

[Damn it Jack. He was waiting to see what you'd do. Closing your journal on the poor girl won't work forever you know. But at least Bones has told you where he is now.] Don't worry, he's alright. [A little sore? But alright.] I'm out here with him.

What? [She sounds dangerously displeased.] Was there some kind of sand-party and I wasn't invited?

Kinda? Jack from what I can understand was... tossed? I think tossed? Maybe magically teleported? Well, either way, he got thrown out into the desert by Aku and Derek, Bones, and I all went out to find him. [Nervous laugh] We found him!

[There's an edge of guilt. Everyone, it seems, went looking for Jack except her. She had only wanted to deliver a swift fist to the jaw.]
