haha. 'easiest con dealer hall job'. that just depends on the event. otakon was not easy. i'm sure AX won't be easy. The small events like Nisei Week and Mikomicon are fairly easy because there's hardly anyone around to talk to or for me to try to sell stuff to. =D
my camera does not weight a metric ton. =D you also had your own camera which probably made it seem heavy. it's only hard initially since you don't get the turn wheel other cameras use to choose which exposure mode you want. a lot of multi-button pushing to get to a setting. the 40D and 5D are not as complicated. =D
I suppose. Since at those two events, all you had to do was stand around, while you had all those meetings for the other conventions.
Your camera is definitely heavy, though. Maybe not a full metric ton, but it still weighs a lot. And that was on the hands, and since I don't generally hold 2 cameras at the same time, it's not like the XT could influence that. I don't even want to think about how bad that'd be with a 70-200/2.8L IS or something, since I'm sure at that point, I'd prefer to have an anchor around my neck.
I understand Canon's whole philosophy there of pros not wanting accidental changes, so making sure that each serious action seemingly requiring at least 2 item changes or even 3. But damn, that makes changing settings slow. I'm sure if I actually knew how to make the changes before, it'd be faster, but still, that's a damn lot of buttons to have to know.
HOMG I got heat stroke on that stage it was SOOO hot and the sun was hitting the microphone just so it was always blinding me when I was in front of it ~___~ I'm sorry you had to see us in such conditions but thanks for coming anyway! Sorry I didn't get to hang much. We were only at the con for a few hours and most of that we spent trying to take refuge from the heat in the green room XD Come see us some other time preferably at an indoor stage, it will for sure be better XD
