[ monday -- late afternoon, after school and the brigade meeting -- sees anne shirley in the village centre. near the fountain but not quite so close as to look straight into the water. she faces away from the fountain and seems to be throwing things over her shoulder...waiting to here that tell-tale splash of success ( Read more... )

I'm sure the construction of simple coins would be a simple task for the smithy. I've made far more elaborate commissions. Perhaps you could create a design for them?

Marilla would say that the devil lives in superstitions like that. That a Christian soul is much better off leaving the salt to the chef and praying instead.

Of course. I once visited a grand old fountain in Charlottetown and wished for a handsome stranger to sweep me off my feet. It hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure it will. Some day.
