Sinners update AGAIN---sort of!

I have finished re-writing the first chapter of Sinners into what I hope is a far better work. It's about the same length and covers the same events, but I'm hoping that the writing is just...generally not as suck, lol. And yes, it WAS suck---you guys give me a lot of praise, but to be honest? When I look back at Arc 1, I feel...disgust for a great ( Read more... )

Wow Slash, you're going to spoil us with all this attention you've been giving!

I like what you did with the update. Everything is a bit easier to read and seems to flow better.

I look forward to reading the next chapter, whenever you get around to pumping it out.

I'm hoping that chapter rewrites won't take nearly as long as when I initially wrote them, since the plot itself is already composed and some parts of the chapters are fine as they are (there are a couple chunks of the revised chapter 1 that were barely changed at all). A few plot points will be tinkered with, though...I intend for the romance to be a lot more gradual, for example, and that's something that will require major rewriting. It'll all work out in the end, though.

So i finally got to reading the updated chapter.

Loved it - more detail, more thoughts, more early relationship building. Overall better.

Excellent work Slash, keep it up.

I'm certainly a lot happier with the update. I won't be super-happy until all of Arc 1 is rewritten, though. They're a fucking embarrassment, lol.

Come on now, the early chapters aren't really that bad.

The quality of them is still on the upper class of overall fanfics i've read, it just so happens that your later chapters are some of the best written in terms of quality and quantity - which is what you're comparing the early ones too.

You planning any major changes with the early chapters, or still just a bunch of relatively small ones?
