While Isreal is trying to get their captured trooper back from the Palestinians, Hezbollah makes a raid from the north and captured two Isreali troppers of their own. Then we've never been able to win before. The issue begins and ends with the civilian population in which they are immersed. Even if we lost our own conscience and decided that killing every damn farmer in Lebanon is good enough as long as we also kill the Hizbollah - we are dependent on the USA for a large part of our budget, and on both Europe and the USA for much of our export income. If we don't have money for our guns, we can't win the war. If we don't have money to feed the soldiers, we can't win the war. If we don't have some sort of international support, or let's say, looking the other way - because most countries never support us - then we can't do anything. Eventually we might be invaded by someone just like Iraq
