I got a bit of good news today 8D! The Better Business Bureau of Southern CA now has my scam artist listed in their file system! Anyone else who wishes to lodge a complaint about his business practices can file with them as well and mar his record >8D! Thank you, Matt/Gyr/daemionfox for the wonderful advice!

I woke up this morning to find a blanket of snow covering everything outside! I had a doctor's appointment at 8:10 a.m. which I had to cancel and re-schedule since it didn't look like I could even get out of the driveway. My appointment has been re-scheduled for late April. It looks like if I actually do want a refund from the scammer, I must pay another $25.00 for Escrow.com to oversee the exchange according to Square Trade! Since when does it cost ~$80.00 = $25.00 for the fake print + $30.00 for Square Trade + $25.00 for Escrow to get back $25.00 and have the scammer acknowledge that he sent me a print?! I spoke too soon --;! The scammer has returned with a vengeance and left me slanderous negative feedback in retaliation to the negative feedback I left him. He also replied to Square Trade again, so I guess I will be getting $30.00's worth of ranting there. Here is his reply via Square Trade's negotiator:

Finally, some good news 8D! Square Trade's mediator just e-mailed me saying that if their scammer member doesn't contact them by Mar 2nd, they'll close the case AND REFUND my mediation money! I can't believe a corporation is actually going to stick with principles! I guess we'll see come next Friday though ;)!

I think most of the battle is over for Square Crooked Trade, EBSQ, and on my thread on eBay's Art and Artists Board. The scammer hasn't replied to either of Square Trade's or EBSQ's inquiries about him since Tuesday. He's probably skipped town or heading for a border ;b! I met with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts' curator of arts and prints at 2:00 p.m. promptly at the front security desk. I felt very embarrassed and ashamed that I asked him to meet with me about such an insignificant question.
