Reunion

Eeps, just got the e-mail about the 5 year reunion. Somehow I thought it would be at next year's homecoming instead of this carnival. Which makes me happier actually. I should've guessed that, but I didn't really think about it carefully before

Aren't you 2004? Confused. Or do they count this home coming by the next graduation year.... Anyway, I only go to carnivals, home coming never seem very interesting too me.

Yeah, the e-mail said the reunion is going to be during 2009 Carnival. Previously I had assumed it would be 2009 Homecoming, which would be during next school year, but apparently it's this school year's Carnival instead.

I went to my 5 year reunion and was not really impressed. It was basically meeting up with all those guys who lived down the hall in my freshman dorm. I still remembered them, but only because we'd shared the experience of living in the same shitty dorm. And then there was the other 90% of my graduating class who I really never knew.

Because the 5-year reunion is based on your YEAR, not your CS class, nor even necessarily people that shared any classes with you at all.

I did attend separate SCS events, and those ranged from adequate to awesome, but not because they were people in the same year as me, just because they were cool people in their own right.

I didn't go to mine either. But I DID see my old group of friends. We had a 28 person dinner at Green Forest the same weekend as the reunion. I spent the rest of the time hunting down the 2-3 people who weren't part of the full dinner.

BTW, check out Teaism in Tyson's. The place sells loose tea.
