I swore I would never do again. Like, for instance, listen to Portishead. Something that, while working at the music store way-back-when, I promised never to subject myself to EVER AGAIN. Why do you ask, did I promise myself that? And why have I chosen NOW to go back on my promise to myself? Well, that promise was spawned from the fact that EVERY ( Read more... )

Maybe counter with the new Portishead album? It actually sounds pretty different from their older stuff! Or just go the complete opposite direction and put on some bluegrass or Me First and the Gimmie Gimmies!

I might give their new stuff a try, just to be fair. Of course, you can never go wrong with bluegrass!!

Ehhh, I'm at about 8 on the pain scale, but that is a slight improvement. I still can't really walk. The doctor said I'd be able to return to work the next day - HA. If I don't improve any by tomorrow, I will call and see what we can do.

"After your injection, you may experience some numbness in your arms or legs. This is a temporary side effect associated with the anesthetic component of the injection, and it typically subsides within 1 to 8 hours. Your pain also may increase over the following 24-48 hours; it generally takes 24-72 hours for the pain-relieving benefits of a spinal epidural injection to take effect."

This just seems really, really wrong. Your pain may INCREASE? How the hell is THAT helpful *shakes head*

Take it easy, here's hoping it doesn't get a whole lot worse before it gets better. And 8 sucks, but it's better then a 10...

I've always fond music to be a really strong sense-memory for me

*nods* It is for me as well. And it's not that the memories are unpleasant (I loved that place, a LOT), but rather that it reminds me of endless hours of nothing BUT Portishead (we weren't that busy of a store, so sitting around and listening to music took up a good portion of the day).

*keeps fingers crossed*
