As my fellow geeks know, today is the relese date for Spore. I wants it. My laptop, however, being 2 years and 8 months old, will most likely not be able to handle running such a program. It meets most of the requirements, but I MIGHT be a bit short on processor speed. I need to check when I get home

I must admit, I love getting new computery equipment way too much. I mean, my current laptop is fine, I just am entranced by the shiny! XD

Me as well! I can't help it!!

A quick examination of my laptop shows that my processor is plenty fast enough, and the memory space is fine as well. The only thing that could be an issue is my graphics card. The game should run, but I'd probably have to select the lowest settings, and even then possibly deal with slow performance. That, and my hard drive space is a very precious commodity anymore (despite all of my videos being housed on my external drive), but I can deal with that. *contemplates*
