About getting shocked. It's been two weeks.

[Naturally she picks up on that right away b-but... she just assumes... you're tired. Because between Yosuke dying and Kanji please don't let Chie be affected too ohgod.]

[Yousuke, being gimp as he is, hasn't been able to do anything but sit and wait for things to either get better of get worse, unfortunately usually the latter... His mood wasn't so great either.]

[But still, he has some empathy for Chie. He knows how irritating not being able to do anything is, or feeling useless. He's in a wheelchair for Christ sakes. He knows.]

[He's in a corner of the Northern Lights, looking tired, but unable to get any real rest. This atmosphere was taking it's toll on everyone... Chie's outburst stirs him out of his stupor.]

[chie's been lounging around nearby ... brooding, more like. as relieved and thankful she is that yousuke is alive again, she's been pretty much beating herself up internally over the fact that he died in the first place. why couldn't she have been more help? she's supposed to protect people, after all.]

Oh ... I guess it's been two weeks since I got back. Stupid thing zapped me.

[she waves her communicator at him before stowing it back in her jacket pocket. has it only been two weeks? somehow it feels like much longer.]

[That makes sense-- they'd still shock you whether the sky was falling or otherwise... But Chie's demeanor had him more worried. Yeah, things were bad right now, but usually she was more upbeat than this.]

[chie shrugs, and looks away from him. something is up - a lot of things, actually - but she's extremely reluctant to discuss them with anyone, much less yousuke. not because she didn't trust him ... because she didn't want to let on exactly how weak she felt.

and there was the guilt, too. it was hard enough to look at yousuke as it stood.]
