Days 15 through 12 and the Incarnation explained

Dec 08, 2007 16:16

Y'see, this is what I was talking about.  I had four days in a row of 11+ hours without a single break but including hyper-hazardous road conditions and herculean frieght loads.  Staggering back up the stairs at the blessed end of the day it was as much as I could do to unlace the boots much less log on and greet my small but dear circle of lj- ( Read more... )

Is that 338 stops in one day, or the whole week? That's a metric crapload. And the numbers suggest that many stops have multiple packages being delivered at once - is that right? Strikes me as strange.

Oh yeah, this is a four-day total for stops and packages. My all-time record of stops in a day is only 112. And yes, quite often it's multiple packages for a stop. Fer 'zample, I had 25 packages for the Regis Hair Salon in the mall (shampoo and such). I had to park at the front entrance (the closest, since they have no back door) and wheel the boxes 5 at a time through half the mall, weave through the front counter and stations and into the break room which had less than a half-inch clearance to get through. Back and forth that stop took about 20 minutes. And what was the worst part? Burl Ives singing "Holly-Jolly Christmas" over the PA. That bastard. Kiss her once for me, my ass!

YOU'RE a handy guy in a fight! Five bucks to beat up Burl Ives! I don't care if he is dead! I'll dig him up and you can beat him up! Five bucks! Where'ya gonna get a deal like that, huh?

Oh yeah, I'm always happy to take on a dead guy in a fight. Generally a lot easier than those squirmy "alive" folks. Besides, as a historian I'm highly trained at abusing dead people.

God bless you for that. That's beautiful.

Say, speaking of which, have you seen the two "Mr Wuhl - Assume the Possition" specials on HBO? You of all people would have an appreciation for those.
