Dead & Damned Part VIII(b)

...same as before - it's just to big to fit in one post *sigh* (The chapter is split where a break was intended.)

Previous: Part VIII(a)

Banger's Books and Novelties was a hole-in-the-wall bookstore; its size at first glance belied its sheer book-holding capacity. It had two floors, and on the bottom, every available space was devoted to books. Not ( Read more... )

That ending was powerful...and painful.
It was a most effective lesson, but lord, it hurt.

And the contrast between that moment and earlier---in the bookstore with Bob reading a trashy romance novel...shit. Pays to remember the man he is and the man he was may not be so different.

I will be eagerly awaiting more of this.

*nods* This is true - to a degree... Bob isn't who he used to be, in fact, this is tame compared to where I'm going with future chapters that explore more of his past. So far this is Dark!Boblight.

The end of another great Bob/Harry chapter, my dear. The story is far from over.

My god that was a powerfully intense chapter... Jeez, Weslyn! Trying to kill me?

The first part was crazy-scary with the dreams and spooky mental ward. *shudder*

And then this. Yeah, Bob did a really good explanation of the Black. Goodness gracious... Hot and painful... Poor Harry.

Um... shall we say accidentally on purpose? *grin*

*wibble* Poor Harry. And poor Bob. I get the feeling that this was one lesson he didn't particularly want to teach, but with Harry pushing at it... *sigh* *sniffle*

Really looking forward to the next chapter, and hoping they can work things out.

*deep breath* I hope you're not hoping for a quick resolution. *fidgets*

Bob's turning out to be a very complex character to write!

Oh, a quick resolution isn't important, as long as there's at least the hope of an eventual happy one.

And as far as complexity? You're preaching to the choir. :-) *huggles Bob*

Bob in the bookstore! We need to go to the second floor, Wes-- promise you'll write a drabble about the second floor?? pleeeeeease? *bigeyes o'doom*

Was it me, or was his voice made of sex just then? *flails* is there a time when it isn't? or is this a nod to Harry's just noticing?

The reaction by the cashier is very frightening. I want to take him home and feed him soup.

Bob and Harry's entire discussion of Necromancy is really really difficult. You know this, of course! Its so hard to watch Bob shut Harry out, and worse to watch him tear Harry wide open. Bob was a victim of the Black, certainly, but he chose it. Now Harry has become another victim, and my heart just hurts so bad. It's like the destruction never really stops.

And yet, the kiss is so incredibly hot, i can't stop reading it :D.

*holds out wrists* lead on, girl. i'll go wherever.

or is this a nod to Harry's just noticing? Hee, you know Harry's a little slow on the uptake sometimes, dear!

Is it? I wasn't exactly intending it to be frightening per se... Hm, by coincidence, I want to take Bob home and feed him apples. Speaking of which:
Bob was a victim of the Black, certainly, but he chose it Oh, did he? *cues mysterious music*

*takes you by the hand* I'd be glad to take you along, but you'd better hold tight. It may be very tempting to run back to happier times.
