And George Carlin is dead. 71. Heart failure. One of my dad's heroes and one of the earliest adult comedy routines I can remember listening to and 'getting' back when I was six or whatever. Dark as he was, he railed against the horrible way things are headed. He will be missed. There are some that try to be like him but miss the mark. Good ( Read more... )

Love this guy. Miss him already. As you say, there's nobody you can point to and say 'that guy's going to grow up and fill the void Carlin left.' Nobody.

Yup. There are plenty of people that are as angry about the status quo as he was but not that many that are so articulate.
