In this week's Spotlight, Warren Rochelle talks about using autobiographical experience in fiction, the overlap of civil rights for fairies and LGBTQ people, and what happened when he consulted an animal communicator to sort out his cats' behavioral problems. Entertaining interview as always, including the story of the cat communicator.

Good job selling a copy of I Do Two!--I'm sure the purchaser will enjoy the stories.

And so true about the Nebula nominees. I really enjoyed reading ckastens's story, "The Fortutious Meeting of Gerard van Oost and Olduara", and if I had time, I'd like to read many, many more. It really is a rich and varied list.

I think I met Warren at NASFiC at the Writing the Other workshop. His Faery/Earth stories sound fascinating and I'll look them up!

As a 'cat person' and someone believing and interested in psychic communication, I'm fascinated by the animal-communicator passage also. I wish I could do that; I'd love to know what my cat's thoughts and needs are (does he resent that we took him from his first home--his siblings and his adoring human? Why did he attach to me and not my more cat-experienced husband?)

Wish I could have seen you at Boskone! I was very jealous of George and Christian. Will you be at Readercon this year? I plan to go again :)
