I'm in the same boat. I haven't been to the UK since Jan 2008. When I was in MIA I went twice a year.... Ah, the good old days :P I think travel is SO important for Americans, because we are so culturally isolated from the rest of the world. It kills me that it is so inaccessible when you're under a certain income level.

Yeah, the ability to travel is a privilege, and having had it, I feel the lack of it very keenly. I haven't even been to Canada in three years, and I can see it from my parents' house!
