Between sorting out buses and bank cards and hostels, the past two days have been more or less wasted. Bleh. Very frustrating. We did see the Loch Ness Monster, though. She works behind the till at the Urquhart Castle visitors centre. We spent an hour walking out there and arrived half an hour before the castle closed for the evening and she ( Read more... )

Ha! What a meanie. But at least you can now point the way to dear old Nessie for the rest of the folks looking to see a real Scottish monster. ;)

The closest I came while I was there was a monstrous looking stick in the water.

It's a shame, the Highlands are basically inaccessible by public transport.

Sorry. We did try tonight, but after the hassle of getting a hotel room and grabbing dinner, it was pretty late. We headed out your way, but all the lights were off, and we didn't want to risk missing the last tram back. We will be over tomorrow morning to get stuff. Thanks again.
