Happy New Year

Well, I'm settling comfortably into my new position.

I'm learning quickly how to read my bosses' minds (yes, that's plural, working for 2 brands = 2 bosses!) because they are often vague and/or French. Rather... they're both vague, and both French... so sometimes the sentence structure isn't quite right. But I'm quickly figuring it out.

Dumb question: can't you just talk to them in French?

Also, someone wanted one of our telemarketing coupons in French, which we don't have. I was sitting there thinking "I wish I had a pocket Mary-Beth".

I could talk to them in french, but when they initiate the emails in English, what can I do? LOL

If you have stuff you need translated, I could do some freelance translating... I know you work for a charity and there's not much money to go around, but... Let me know. I'd definitely charge less than I have for other jobs. LOL

lol that remind me of that comedian who said he used to go federal offices and demand to be spoken to in French, even though he barely understood what they were saying. They'd switch back to English, and he'd tell them not to.

Well, see, our main issue is that we don't really have much French services. We barely have anyone in the office who speaks it anyway. I worry we start offering coupons in French, and then more people will call in asking for French reps, and we have like no one to answer.

I MAY have you translate some of my comics, though. Just let me know your rate. I pay. :)

I'm glad things are working out. I'm sure the translating will get easier. I'm sure you'll pick it up. Just like a mom is usually the only one who can translate for her 2 year old. :)

Happy New Year!
