It's awesome that a black actor is playing Heathcliff, and I'm surprised that he's the first because part of the conflict/tension in the novel is that Heathcliff is a racial outsider. (he's not black in the novel, but I thought that would've been an obvious choice for a director to make??)

I'm excited too; even though I've always seen Heathcliff as having white skin and looking gypsy-ish in my mind I think it'll be interesting to see this guy and see if this affects my ideas about WH and Heathcliff. In any case, WH is my favourite book so I'll definitely be watching this and hoping no one screws it up.

It's good someone has got a non white actor to play heathcliff. Though I'm still weary about this film because kaya is so awful
