Hello there!

I know many of you have probably visited here before and we hope you'll be back. One of the things that us new mods have decided, as part of our modship, is to post in here regularly. Word wars?! I must say I've never come across that before, though maybe I have but don't realise it. Care to explain?! It sounds fun though! :D

They are basically just certain time frames that people get together and see how many words they can write. They can take place over weekends or three day periods and there is usually 24-hour check in's and prizes (v-gifts or banners) for the people who write the most words. Or they can also take place in chat rooms with members challenging each other over 30minute periods too.

hd_writers is in the middle of one at the moment if you want to see.

Usually there are tiers you can get to - like 2k, 5k, 8k or over 10k

Ooh, that's great! I do that on a small scale with tromana, well setting a goal and a time limit. It's something we'll look into and hopefully will implement!

I, of course, loved the little prompt things... uh... shit... I can't remember what they're called. You fill a prompt with 100> words and then post a couple prompts of your own. Prompt tag? Is that what it's called. Shit. Fuck.

So excited! And glad to have left everything in such awesome hands. I always love rec posts, personally, because it's always nice to discover awesome things you might have overlooked otherwise.

I love rec days. I haven't read anywhere near enough in this fandom, so I love this idea!
