You probably just need to change out the thermostat. They're fairly inexpensive and an easy do-it-yourself project to get to know the underside of your hood better. :)

hrm... possibly a coolant issue? Or the cooling fan may not be running properly... not sure. *shrugs*

Yeah, it could be a few things, dude. It's a 17 year old car. Things are bound to go wrong, even though it does have low kms.
