Bad things happen in 3's.   I fell down the stairs at the firehouse today.  Like 10 stairs, tumble into the wall at the bottom.  I strained my lumbar and my MCL and bruised my shoulder.  Otherwise I'm ok, and I don't have to go to work on Monday.  And I got to come home early.  More ice and ibuprofen for me though

Alas, my frist day isn't until May 12, but I put in my 2 weeks notice today, and my last day is the 11th... so this way I'm not going to be missing any paid time. So that'll be great!

Woohoo! What's this job like?

Well, it's still an ambulance, paramedic job, but it's with a much better company. I'll do 100% 911, which is WAY better than action care. AND I'm getting paid several thousand a year more, AND they totally cover insurance (which is GOOD insurance and includes medical, dental, and vision), AND I get a pension. There was just no way to turn that down. On top of that the work shirts are better. Theyre Navy blue. No more white. Whoever's idea it was to wear white in a profession with blood should be smacked. Still gotta wear the scary police woman pants though.
