Ecuador Vacation part 1

This vacation is turning out to be a fantastic pain in the ass.  I'm all packed, ready to walk out the door, asleep in my cozy bed in Denver when at 3:00 AM my cell phone rings showing an international number.  I answer, and it's my mom frantically asking me where I am.  In Denver of course, and it's 3 AM mom!   Apparently, my flight left on the 22
