They don't sell real bridal gowns on Skid Row, but Audrey managed to find a beautiful white dress at the thrift shop on the next block over. It was expensive, but she can afford it now, and it's worth every penny just for the way she feels when she puts it on. She feels pure and graceful and beautiful, like the girls in the bridal magazines.

Her phone's ringing. Who could that be? She picks it up. "Hello?"
