Seymour slouches even further at the quotation marks - which is good, because he can't slouch at the news about the police, though he certainly wants to.

"The police?" he repeats, acting confused. It's a strategy that's served him well before.

"Yes. It seems they did a routine investigation on the disappearance of this motorcycle dentist. And when they did, they found a 'Mushnik's Skid Row Florist' bag in his office."

He's giving Seymour a very odd look.

Seymour swallows and hesitates a moment. "Well, what's that supposed to mean?"

Audrey's been over to the dentist's office, surely. Maybe she brought him something. Maybe he came to the store and bought something. It could mean anything.
