Seymour walks into the store, heading to his bed in the basement. If he never had another number again, he'd be content. His duet with Audrey is all he needs. Remembering it, it feels like the smile will never leave his face. He's hers. For as long as she wants him.
"So!" Seymour starts, sees Mr. Mushnik standing by the alley door. "It seems the plot is thickening amongst my employees."
Mr. Mushnik must've seen him walk Audrey home and assumed the obvious. He's using a tone that signals that Seymour is in trouble. Seymour will have to convince his boss - dad - that his and Audrey's relationship won't affect them on the job.
"Please, Mr.-- uh-- Dad--"
Mr. Mushnik has always had sharp eyes; Seymour falls quiet at his look. "Don't you 'Mr. Dad' me, Krelborn." He steps further into the room, staring intently at the floor and mutters, "Little red dots...all over the linoleum...."
Seymour's heart begins to beat faster. "You're acting pretty strange, Dad."
