Seems like all New York is going to Mushnik & Son's for their floral needs. Sometimes Seymour likes it - time spent working is less time thinking. Other times - when the dreams keep him up all night, for instance - Seymour doesn't.

Mr. Mushnik is making some new purchases and putting the final touches on Seymour's adoption papers. It's up to Seymour and Audrey to handle the phones.

"Hollyhocks are hardier. Which ones would your wife prefer?"

"Were you waiting long? I'm sorry, sir--"

"Seymour, that reporter - she wants another interview. Said to bring the plant with you!"

"Audrey, it's the new account! -- Ah, sorry, that's the right amount!"

"Yes, daisies only come in white....Sir, I'm too worn out to fight."

"Sorry, those are out of stock."

"Seymour! Look, it's six o'clock."

"Please, call back in the morning, can't you?"

"Call back in the morning, won't you?"

"Call back in the morning - thank you!"

Seymour slams the last phone onto its cradle and slumps in his chair, rubbing his forehead.
