well, I will begin (finally!) my Headmaster Snape portrait, and I will take a one-day workshop with the same instructor that is about goosing one's intuitive drawing to see where it can lead. **sharpens crayons** that should be interesting!
Also, I am having semi-regular come-and-make-art-with-me-days in the studio, Saturdays.
Ven thanks you !!!! **glee** It feels so good to really WORK at something again like this. as if my art has a purpose. squooble your cats for me., (and da Kitty, too.)
the leftmost two were one model, a young woman... I seem to have trouble with gender! I think they look a bit like Obama. The 3rd one, this guy is a better likeness. Older, he had more 'character' that I could see and render. but he had no lips! I've plumped them up in my drawing.
it's fascinating, how different people's faces are.
Oh, it is definitely the most fascinating thing to watch people's faces and to discover the beauty in each one of them, even (or maybe escpecially) when they aren't too pretty or made up :-)) Leonardo da Vinci used to sketch the strangest faces and seemed to enjoy it immensely.
