The Joys of Microwave Cooking

Here's an enlightening little conversation I just had with my mother:

[mum watches me remove a microwaved leftover pizza slice from the oven]
Mum: Didn't you cover that? You and your dad are exactly alike. Why didn't you cover the pizza?
Me: Because it's dry, and there's nothing to splatter all over the inside of the microwave?
Mum: But you should ( Read more... )

Ah, but it might turn out like the sequel to "Alone in the Dark"!

You mother is adorable. Whatever she thinks about Micro-whatsis.

Oh the curse of sequels, lol! Have played the demo, and it's pretty decent, even if there are a couple things that feel weird at the moment. The environments and music are awesome, although I hate the developers for introducing *shops* to the game, because it means Vito's probably going to be spending about as much time shopping for a new sharp suit as he is putting holes in people...

Yeah, my mum is adorable. She comes up with the most hilarious things sometimes!

Flatemate is trying to sell me on the idea of the sequel to Bioshock - "It's like...all steampunky! It's you!"

I think many of them suffered from the Atari curse - not putting enough money into developing sequels and coasting on initial success. But that seems to be less of an issue these days, so hopefully it will live up to the anticipation!

I told you about Bioshock, remember? :D (I put up screenshots from the sequel on my journal sometime back). But yes, if you're not averse to shooting tommy-guns at insane Splicers, you *would* love the game (though I would recommend the first game rather than the second). I'm so looking forward to Bioshock: Infinite, which will be set in the air rather than at the bottom of the sea. Think of it! A floating city in the clouds! Set in the flapper era! with music of the period! and steampunk architecture! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXLYsWayrdg Even if you don't play games, you could tempt flatmate into getting it when it comes out, just so you can look and listen and enjoy as he plays. ;)
