So take two on the comment thing. For some reason it didn't take the first time and kicked me out. *grump*
I love the bookmarks and would actually love to see them packaged in sets (as in series). I would buy then in a heart-beat. I'm always reading more than one book at a time and this just seems like a cool idea to me.
I have a couple of questions though. I wonder if there is any chance that the ink from the bookmark could (overtime) wear off onto the book or vice-versa? I would hate to see that happen. I have seen the print in some books rub off or smear sometimes and I would hate to ruin my art bookmark.
As a possible solution to this, and to possibly make them stronger and last longer, is there a way to laminte (or something similar) the bookmarks so that (1) there would be no chance of the above happening, and (2) they would actually last longer because even heavy paper bookmarks get ratty pretty fast.
So those are my comments, questions, and ideas. I'm a book geek and an avid user of bookmarks so that's where my head goes.
I'll be posting a set of all 5 today and could also potentially group them based on themes. I'll also be posting a variation of the same block on tan paper.
The ink I use is very light fast and even tiny splotches are difficult for me to clean up with an eraser. I've used the thickest and most solid print paper I could find. That said this is honestly a new area for me since prints are typically just for hanging on the wall. Lamination could be a possibility though I don't like the idea from a visual sensual standpoint. But that is a personal preference on my part, I've always been a fan of thick paper bookmarks. But it is a good angle I'd not considered and I should experiment with it.
