Donna swing-leans in the door of the nursery, where John is attempting to get Robert to keep his damn pants on. "Aw, look at that, he's taking after his daddies already."

"You aren't very nice," John informs her, without looking up. "Mommy isn't very nice, is she? No, she's not"My heart bleeds. Hey, I'm going out ( Read more... )

Yeah, see, the last Hips heard, Donna just up and friggin' walked out on her whole family. And when asked afterwards, said it was because she felt 'ignored.'

Honestly? Hips is a wee bit pissed at Donna for being so selfish. If Hips had kids, she wouldn't just walk out on them. But then again, Hips is starting to develop her own set of rules for motherhood, and they're definitely twisted. I.E., don't ever hit the kid with a garden rake.

Hips? Having mommy issues? NEVAR.

But then again, Donna's always been awesome, so she'll at least hear her out before smacking her upside the head with her purse.

"Hey lady. Still think you got more done than the tits."

"You won't hear it from me," Donna replies, peaceably.

'Ignored' doesn't begin to cover it -- but the last thing she plans to do is argue about whether or not it was selfish. It was. Kind of the point.

She's got a drink, and is contemplating it more than drinking it...thus far, anyway.

Well, fortunately for everybody involved, Hips has mellowed considerably in the last year or so. Mostly. So there will be no finger-pointing and shrieking and lambasting the poor lady over open coals.

She takes a seat across from Donna, and waves to a waiter to get something boozy. When her gin and tonic is ordered, she grins at her long-gone friend.

"It is good to see you again, Donna. I thought I'd have to take you out of my rolodex."

That is very lucky, although Hips is probably one of the few people left that Donna would take that from. (The others keep dying or giving her reasons to kick them in the ass.)

"It's good to be seen. John says hi, by the way." She runs her fingertip around the rim of her glass (cosmopolitan; she was in the mood for it) and slips her feet out of her heels.
