I saved a Best Buy gift a whole week for this day. The new Avenged Sevenfold album, Nightmare, and Batman: Under The Red Hood, a new Batman animated movie, were both released and I simply had to have them.

I already listened to Nightmare once in its entirety and I it's love. These guys may be a little campy at times and even a little over the top ( Read more... )

Haha thanks. It's good to have that support. : )

GASP! You dislike Batman AND Avenged Sevenfold?! *unfriends you*

Haha just kidding. I totally understand about his voice 'cause it bothered me for a while, too, but it obviously grew on me. That's not to say it should grow on you or anything 'cause there that nasal sound still bothers me now and then. : )

Haha "Bat Country" The song that first turned me onto A7X and I still love it, but then, haven't listened to the radio much in recent years, so it never really got overplayed for me. I know what you mean though 'cause I'm the same way. If I hear something too much or it feels like it's everywhere I go and I can't escape it, I HATE it. The worst are the "alternative" or "rock" bands/artists who release mainstream friendly stuff and so are on both the rock stations AND the pop stations AND TV, etc. Starting back in the the 90s with the likes of Alanis Morissette and then into the 2000s with Nickelback, etc. I didn't dislike Alanis, but damn, you couldn't escape her. Nickelback was a decent hard rock band before their 2001 smash hit, "How You Remind Me", turned them into the band that mainstream pop fans listen to and love because they think it's edgy rock and yet it's poppy enough for them to sing along to, etc. /endrant ( ... )

I just watched UNDER THE RED HOOD! I'm fascinated by the Red Hood character. Even though that dude is insane, I don't totally hate him. I love that fact that he wants to fight crime, but I hate how he does it in a psychotic way.

I don't hate him at all. It's too bad he suffered that fate at the hands of the Joker and that his resurrection brought him back damaged, but he was trying to do good in his own way and it was the series of unfortunate and unnatural events that led to his wrongdoing.

You have feelings of sympathy towards the Red Hood because of the things he had suffered in life. I admire that sympathy in you. That quality of sympathy is Batman-like.

I wasn't thinking of it as sympathy, but I suppose it is to an extent. In that sense, I guess I sympathize with a lot of people.
