It's funny -- Andre has been my favorite member of Outkast since Southernplayisticadillacmuzik, their very first album, but I actually prefer Big Boi's stuff when they work alone. ANYWAY, yes, Andre is the shit. A true artist.

By the way, have you listened to any Goodie Mob or Cee-lo Green's (Gnarls Barkley vocalist, formerly and once again of Goodie Mob) solo stuff? Another truly unique and insanely talented artist. Highly recommended.

That was one of his stranger, more eccentric vids. And here's one of the hottest songs ever featuring him. Love his voice. Take a look/listen!

I've been planning on posting an entry about his poetry for a while now. Maybe I'll do that this weekend.

Anyway...

A fellow Gorillaz fan! Ah, I made it about half way through the album last night before falling asleep and it's great so far. :D

Yep, Snoop Dogg, Mos Def, De La Soul, Lou Reed... a big, diverse guest list this time around. I listened to the whole album last night and it's...pretty ok. Nothing spectacular for sure, especially considering all the big names. BUT, even though I do consider myself a fan, Gorillaz is always a mood thing for me and they're one of those I can listen to one day and be bored out of my mind, and then absolutely love them the next day. *shrug*

I've listened to Broken Bells all the way through twice now. It's a very solid album and there are a couple particularly good tracks, but "The High Road" is definitely the highlight. I love James Mercer's voice.

Ugh, like I said, I loved the Cold War Kids when I saw them in concert last summer, but I still haven't listened to them since and couldn't name a single song. I really need to get on that.
