Busy Week

Sunday night was the Jackyl concert, which surprisingly turned out to be one of the best concerts I've seen (and I've seen many). They put on a great show and I'd recommend attending one (mine was only $10) to anyone who enjoys that kind of music ( Read more... )

Thank you! It was most excellent! The show was great AND it was over before 10:00pm, so my friend and I stopped for a drink at the very good Founders brewery down the road from the venue, made the 45 minute drive back and still got home before midnight. It's rare that I get home from a concert early enough to get a decent night's sleep when I work in the morning.

Argh, when I try to play it, it asks me to sign up or connect with Facebook, first. Do I want to?

Oh and I forgot "Buscandome" is only part in Spanish, not all, but still. If you do check it out, stick with it til the end 'cause I think the best part is when it intensifies.

Ah, this works nicely. Thanks for the link. I'm listening now and loving it.

Yeah, Nonpoint fits into the "Nu-Metal" sub-genre, but they're definitely a head and shoulders above most others. A lot of my friends can't get into nu-metal at all and I don't care for a lot of it, but then, I really dig some of it, usually despite myself after years of trying to hate on it.

Alright man, this song is fucking excellent. Thanks for hunting down a playable streaming version. HA! I love that, at the bottom of the player, it says "Coming up: Songs from similar artists, including: Eminem; Mary J. Blige; Wiz Khalifa; Gym Class Heroes"! Could they be any more DISsimilar?!

And it's not exactly Spanish, but Portuguese is pretty close and I feel the need to post this old favorite...

Hope you had a good time seeing Nonpoint. I like the first song, Buscandome. I can kind of hear a Nu-Metal sound to it, not that I usually listen to that style. I occasionally go through brief bursts when I listen to Linkin Park but that's about it. LOL

Yep, Nonpoint is part of the nu-metal scene, as much as I don't like to use the term. They are good though. Really good. And they put on a hell of a show on Wednesday. : )

Great to hear that their live show is good. Was that the first time you saw them?

The sixth. : ) I've been in and around many a mosh pit, but I learned at this show it's best to be in front of or behind a pit, but not on the side of if you're on the perimeter. In front, you just get pushed forward. In back, you see everything coming. On the side, you get blindsided a lot and have to turn your attention from the performance to prevent it.
