Still in the mainstream r&b and rap/hip-hop mood off and on, I picked up the new Bruno Mars and T.I. albums on Friday. I wasn't sure if I was going to get Bruno Mars at first, but it was cheap and I noticed Damian Marley and Cee-Lo, both of whom I love, are featured within so I figured what the hell. Bruno Mars' album is nothing that special and ( Read more... )

Wow; seeing Motorhead live? Would love to be in your shoes! Don't forget to report on it, after it's happened! :-)

Will do! And Clutch is an awesome bonus. We were already going to get the tickets for Motorhead when I found out Clutch, who I've been a big fan of for about fifteen years, was going to be there, too. : )

the two songs sure are similar! am i the only one who is annoyed by k'naan? and i don't just mean his music, i mean i find HIM annoying. i dunno, whenever i've seen him on award shows, he just seems so arrogant.

that's great that you got your ticket for motorhead! :)

All I've seen him in is music videos, and I like his music and the lyrical content within, so I hope it's not a case where he's totally different in real life and turns out to be a douche. : /

ah, it's probably just me. i just recall him accepting an award for that 'waving flag' song, and he seemed kinda smug about it. but then again, it's a really good song, so maybe he had a right to be smug about it. :)

Okay, I'm really digging this K'naan track. Also, I just love anything Maroon 5 does...and Adam Levine, hell yes.

And whaaaaaaat Mötorhead AND Clutch? THIS TOUR IS AMAZING OH GOD THEY ARE GOING TO STARLAND I NEED TO GO TO THIS.

I'm glad you like it! I'm a little irritated by the blatant similarity in the Bruno Mars track.

Oh yeah, you should definitely go!

I was playing the song "Runaway Baby" over these two montages of actors and actresses running in the movies. The song is perfect when it plays over these two videos.

Is it bad that I'm more excited for Clutch than Motorhead? Sadly, I only know a handful of Motorhead songs. Definitely report in on the show!

I considered buying Bruno Mars' album, but after the preview I wasn't all that eager anymore.

That's fantastic! I've loved Clutched since about '94 and it will be my second time seeing them live (the first in '98 or '99). I'm glad I have this opportunity to see Motorhead, but Clutch is definitely my favorite of the two and I only know a few Motorhead songs as well. : D

Granted, I only have one Clutch CD, but it is great. Robot Hive: Exodus. :D

And I only have Elephant Riders and a song or two from soundtracks, but I'm pretty familiar with the rest of their stuff as well. I intend to own their entire catalog one of these days. : )
