Still in the mainstream r&b and rap/hip-hop mood off and on, I picked up the new Bruno Mars and T.I. albums on Friday. I wasn't sure if I was going to get Bruno Mars at first, but it was cheap and I noticed Damian Marley and Cee-Lo, both of whom I love, are featured within so I figured what the hell. Bruno Mars' album is nothing that special and the most upbeat track on the album sounded like it should be on a Maroon 5 album. Then I realized why: it's extremely similar to Mogadishu rap/reggae artist K'naan's track from a couple years ago that featuring Maroon 5's Adam Levine (especially in the chorus). See for yourself below and be prepared to have "Bang Bang" stuck in your head for the foreseeable future.
In other news, I also secured my ticket to see Motörhead and Clutch on February 22!
