Just lost a write up about Bryce's camp. ARGH! Can't believe I stayed up, typing with my thumbs for nothing!

We're having Bryce's 4th birthday party this Saturday! I'm just a tad anxious because only 3 of his friends have RSVP'd and there's a chance of thunderstorms for Saturday. While shopping, Bryce will say, "mommy, will you hold me? I can't walk anymore...my legs are old."

So there's no water provided, which I read but forgot, and NO lunch, which I thought we would get. I spent $5 at the only food vendor for unbelievably dry chicken wings bc nothing else was ready at 1:00 and so now have $1 left until 6PM. I'm bored. And sleepy. And I need food and coffee. I'm at a high school all day--til 6PM and all they have in the hospitality room is water, apple juice and muffins. It's dinnertime at the Sabin household and Bryce has left the table to go to the bathroom, as is his usual routine when we are in the middle of a meal at any time of day. Just not feeling with it today. Been having some cold/allergy symptoms, and it's another rainy day too. Would love to sleep for a few days!

So there's this type of vinegar-based bbq that is very popular, tho I never really encountered it until I moved here. It's called "hash" and is kinda like shredded bbq...a very fine shred. It's usually served over rice, I assume bc the texture is so, um, runny. It's not my fav, but if it's hot/spicy enough, it's not so bad ( Read more... )

Okay, this has been one of the worst experiences!! First...I failed to pack my EARMUFFS, then I lock my keys in the TRUNK, I call a cab to drop me off right in front of the building bc it might SNOW and by now I'd be late if I park and walk.
