I saw the film Waitress last night. It's a really beautiful film and I recommend it to everyone. I thought the story was very empowering and uplifting, particularly to women who are having a hard time the way the heroine of the film was. She's undergoing alot but she's never self pitying or defeatist and at the end she makes two very important and ( Read more... )

I love Nathan Fillion <3 My family watches Castle (my mom loves it) and although Nathan as Castle is hilarious and great, the lead girl to me is rather boring and stereotypical. You know--the pretty and tough lead detective who is probably the romantic interest and stuff. Besides him I also like the girl who plays his daughter--she's really smart and quirky and she acts like Castle's mom sometimes because Castle can be so childish XD I saw Waitress too but I totally forgot that he was in it lol

I wanted to check out Glee for the Puck thing but I never got around to it. I guess I'll listen to Puck's song on youtube or something.

I heard about White Collar. Wasn't sure if it'd be good...? Anyways let me know what you think about it afterwards.

Oooh Mari I didnt know you were a Fillion fan! I am actually quite fond of him. Sadly I only really saw him in 3 things, waitress, buffy and firefly. None of which are long term roles. and I like Fillion enough that I wanna try to give Castle another chance cause I didnt actually get far at all. Everyone who watches it says it's funny and offbeat but I didnt see anything to that effect, which makes me wonder if I jumped the gun too soon? I might do better watching clips from the better parts of the show on YT to get a better idea of the actual tone. Still I have a backlog of tv to catch up with so that may be why I'm harsher than usual ( ... )

Aww, it's too bad you didn't enjoy Vampire Diaries. =/ Or Being Human. =/

lol, I'm telling myself to give up on Glee. I watched this week's ep on the tube, and I couldn't even FF those ridiculous Emma/Will moments of blah. When one starts laughing more in a commercial than one does during the entire 40 minutes of the whole episode, you know you gotta quit while you still can. Hopefully when the whedon ep comes out somebody will post about all the good bits so I can just FF to them. :D :D

I AGREE ABOUT THE MASCOT PART OF COMMUNITY BEING THE BEST PART. ♥ I was strongly reminded of dark knight's joker's face with the end results, personally. *shudders* Homg and Community really got a full season order?!!??! I'M SO SO HAPPY WEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I'm looking forward to your pimp post! =D

p.s. i hope you don't mind me friending. you're still the only lj person i found who watches community, and your journal is very awesome. =D

Yeah I feel bad about it honestly, cause so many of my friends love those shows and they just dont do it for me. I cant even fully explain why. Oh well :(

Yeah I love the kids too much to call it quits just yet, I'm not gonna let one shitty ship ruin the show for me. I feel like it'snot fair to those talented kids for some reason lol. Anyway I still hold out the vain hope that it will stop sucking soon and start surprising me. Plus with no Glee I'll have nothing to watch on wednesdays!

THAT MASCOT WAS TERRIFYING. I almost cried looking at it, it was so freakish and alien looking. If that's the face of not!racism then I'd take bigotry over it any day. Yes it truly got a full season order! Dan Harmon the show creator himself twittered about it! and Ausiello a tv reporter also confirmed it. NBC probably kept it cause if it cancelled all it's poorly performing shows this season they wouldnt have anything left except the Office, 30 rock and Jay leno.

Friend away! I so need more community fan friends :D

lol! Don't feel bad~ If a show's not your thing, it's not your thing. =D

Well, if I had an inkling of a hope that either Artie or Tina are finally gonna get an episode to themselves with a PROPER solo and their own unique storyline, maybe I'd reconsider my Glee renounciation.

It was totally the face of trying-to-be-not!racist-by-completely-misunderstanding-the-issue-at-hand-and-failing-in-epic-proportions. *shuuuuuuuudders*

Clearly, I have to follow Dan Harmon on twitter now. >D

Is it mean of me that I want Community to replace the Office in popularity? I mean, I liked the first 2 seasons, but after a while the show just wore on me

YAY. =D

"(I also FFed through very Emma/Willa scene, they annoyed me that much with their treacly saccharine crap that just glosses over the fact that they are both selfish cheating assholes)" How are they selfish cheating assholes when neither of them have acted on their obvious attraction to one another? The fact that they haven't actually done anything beyond just innocent flirting is almost praise worthy given how interested they are in one another since most people would just cave in at that point and throw common sense to the wind. Especially on Emma's part, when she has pretty much been talked into a relationship she obviously has no desire to be apart of because Ken can't accept no as an answer.

well here's my view of it, even if selfish cheating assholes is harsh to me there is such a thing as emotional cheating. yes will nor emma have actually had sex but it doesnt matter, they have been emotionally unfaithful, I am more annoyed at will over this than emma since she was only recently married and ken knew already that she's not really in love with him. Before I go into will, I will say this about emma. Normally I take the girl's side but in this case Emma is not an innocent, Ken did not bulldoze her into anything, she said I am gonna marry you cause I dont wanna be alone. That was her reason, nothing we have seen so far in shows it that it is otherwise. I mean emma said they wont tell anybody about the marriage, they wont live together, they wont hang out after work. Her conditions are pretty ridiculous and unfair but ken still agreed to them. She wont even let him touch her and he pretty much let's it go. I"m not saying he should be more belligerent to her about it, imho he should realize a hopeless case when he sees it ( ... )

But an emotional affair is nothing horrible, people are attracted to others even though they are still very much in love with another person. I know that once I get married that even though my heart will be with the person I marry, I'll probably still find some attraction in another person, though never to the point I would actually feel like I needed to leave the one I leave (which is pretty much Wills situation since he has never made any sort of effort to leave Terri even though shes a psycho wench). I expect the same with anyone else because remaining completely neutral post marriage is just an ideal situation. Plus, maybe it will take his emotions growing for Emma to make him realize that he was never really suited for his wife in the first place. Is it really all that fucked up of her to flirt with someone she clearly loves very deeply? Maybe it's because I've been in a similar situation to Emma that I can understand what she is going though. Also, as for the episode when crazy wench started working at the school, I saw that ( ... )

Ahhhh, that's why you were upset about what I said. I never took you as the hardcore shipper type so I thought it was odd you were bothered by my dislike of Will/Emma but now I get it. Something similiar did happen to you I remmeber that but Kayla just fyi I really did sympathize with you in that situation but there are some large differences between what happened with you and what is happening on Glee. 1. the people in you're scenario i am assuming were all around your age and thusly very young. 2. no one was pregnant in your situation (yes terri isnt actually pregnant but both will and emma THINK she is) and 3. neither you nor the other people involved in your situatoin were married or engaged. these are all huge differences for me. While I wouldnt say emotional cheating is ever a good thing, I think there is a point where it can be much more forgivable and understandable if/when it occurs. such as in your situation. In Will's situation, he's married to terri, been with her over five years, she's (assumedly) pregnant, and emma has ( ... )

I am counting down the days to the inevitable Cal kicks everyone's ass in poker episode. I loved it when Pysch did it, and I loved it when The Mentalist did it and I know I'm gonna love it when Lie2Me does it too.
