Somebody talk me out of starting up a deviantart group for the lady characters of Transformers.
I will not talk you out of this because it's an excellent idea. :D (Man, I need to get my DA account up again and start joining groups and things.)
The Discworld books get stronger (for the most part) as you progress in the series. It does revisit characters and plotines (there are four or five consistent plots/sets of characters that get used pretty frequently), so many of the books have at least semi-open endings. And he does get better about not having every single woman be beautiful; the Rincewind books generally have a beautiful woman or two, but the books with the Lancre witches are usually a lot better about it.

Oooh, yes! If you do, I will watch you for sure. :D I'm just starting to get into groups over there, still trying to feel out the etiquette. I really want to start one! It's just Deviantart is a different beast than Livejournal and I don't want to get in over my head. >.>
Good to know! So there is still hope that some of those tasty little tidbits will come into play again. I shall have to keep reading. :D

:D *pokes you* Post them! Though it's not like you haven't had other things occupying your online time. The reviewing part is almost proving harder than the reading part. (Okay, not really. But I am woefully out of practice.)
Which ones might those be, if you don't mind? My to be read list is not anywhere near fifty yet. :D And if you don't count him co-authoring Good Omens, yes, this is the first of his I've read. I whipped right through it, but it was a much lighter read than Furies of Calderon.

Lol. I did enjoy Good Omens but never managed to get through Neverwhere, so you're not quite alone in regards to Gaiman.
*takes notes* Thank you very much for that info! I've got the second book in the series already. After that will have to have a go at one of the other groups, see how they compare.
