I am thoroughly disgusted with the world. I read not only the article on Letterman, but also the article on the Beatie family. I think it's incredible that someone could love someone that much. Reading the comments that were left on the bottom of the article was even more shocking. You'd think that by now people would be more accepting towards alternative lifestyles, but apparently not. The closed-minded really need to be brought into the light, or else this type of hatred will ever disappear. ::headdesk:: I'm so glad I grew up in a house where I was taught that it's OK to live a life outside of what the world has deemed normal. ::sigh:: The world needs more people like us...

I was SO glad to see Thomas and Nancy on Oprah today. They got to tell their story.

My point of view is, "What woman has never wished her husband could carry the baby?"

The world didn't get all up in arms for Arnold Schwartzenegger's Junior, a comedy about a pregnant man, why are they so up in arms that it's a transgender man carrying this baby? The only reason now you can even possibly spot that he's transgender is because he's been off his testosterone for two years.

I'm with you, I think it's *fantastic* Thomas chose to carry the baby since his wife Nancy cannot. That's a big sacrifice to make - not only to sacrifice his body, privacy, and peace, but also to have to go off the hormones, too.
