I need a holiday. A proper "get on a plane for 8 hours and be in a different time zone" type holiday. My last proper holiday was 5 years ago this November. I've been on short breaks around the UK, but it's just not the same. Okay so I totally understand your want to holiday (I refer to it as "vaca" aka vacation)! You know that movie "The Holiday" with Kate Winslet, Jude Law, Cameron Diaz, Jack Black where they swap homes? I want to go to the UK (so badly) and you want to come to the US? Well this isn't as exciting as Vegas here but there's great weather and lots of things to do. Haha, I'm kidding actually since the idea of swapping places with someone for holiday creeps me out slightly! Well good luck with planning your trip, traveling is the greatest!

Hey! Just got done reading about you wanting to go to Las Vegas for a while. Well, if you decide to, I can try to help you get a better deal. I have an uncle that is a manager at a hotel/casino. It's offstrip, but is very popular by locals, and just a short taxi jaunt to the strip. Also, check out deals on hotels.com and tripres.com--when I went I found the best deals for me there (I hadn't told my aunt & uncle I was going as I planned on partying and not reminiscing).

I sure hope it doesn't take another year for you to be able to make the trip! Good luck!
