Las Vegas?

I need a holiday. A proper "get on a plane for 8 hours and be in a different time zone" type holiday. My last proper holiday was 5 years ago this November. I've been on short breaks around the UK, but it's just not the same. Maybe it's just envy since I went into the travel agents with my parents while they sorted out the last details for their holiday that's 2 weeks away. The America and Canada brochures caught my eye and, of course, I flicked through to the Las Vegas pages. I went 5 years ago and had the absolute most mental time.

It's going to be hideously expensive and I really don't want to go on my own. I have a possible person coming with me but I'm not sure they'll want to be named on my lj so I'll just leave them out for now :). I suppose I could go to another part of the US, or even Canada but I had such an amazing time 5 years ago that I'd love to go again. I want to sit and eat and drink with the occassional dip into a swimming pool or visit to a nicely air-conditional mall.

I'm looking at £2000 minimum. Which is why I want time to save up. I'm looking at August 2010. I know that's a while away but I can't save a great deal each month, and I have a credit card to pay off. I guess I'd better be good and not buy loads of makeup/clothes/DS games!!!

Even though I did buy a pair of short leg (whoo!) flares from Tesco last night for £18. Finding jeans for someone who only has short legs and isn't petite is really hard! Most shops assume that petite women are built smaller than women of "average" height. So a UK12 in petite will actually fit smaller than a UK12 in a regular length trouser. So far, the only place I'd found that just makes things shorter and not smaller is Next but I guess I can add Tesco to that as well. Plus, I'm just glad to find flares! Everywhere has those awful skinny leg jeans. I'm not skinny enough for those, my legs look like carrots in them. Give me a nice pair of bootcut or flares any day.
