About TDK:

First, I have already posted about this over here in nolanverse, but I thought I'd put it up here, too. Briefly, they're looking at Johnny Depp to play the Riddler and Angelina Jolie to play Catwoman in the next Batman movie. Johnny Depp? Well, Heath Ledger and Johnny Depp have often been compared, considering they're pretty much the two best character actors ever. *sighs* But still... you know? Why not just have the Riddler and Catwoman and have the Joker in Arkham, saying he hasn't broken out yet and maybe mention something about Dr. Harlene Quinzel. Of course, that might seem like the easy way out, but whatever. *sighs again*

I'm just hoping that it doesn't become the "hey-look-at-all-the-A-list-actors-we-have-in-our-movies" show. I mean, I do trust Nolan. I didn't think Heath would be a good Joker, and I was fucking dead wrong about that shit, so I'm sure he knows what's what better than me.

Still! I don't want to see a bunch of big names just to have them in there. It'll sell either way, and while Johhny is amazing and can really get into a character well, Angelina is just so cliche with the whole hot badass chick thing, I'd rather see a lesser known girl as Selina.

Also, since it's nolanverse, both characters need to be DARK. We absolutely cannot have a rehash of Jim Carrey's Riddler. *sighs* -.-;;

I know! Why immediately consider A-listers when you've done perfectly well so far with the character actors? They're known, but they're not that well-known. And I also thought Heath wouldn't be very good, and now he's my number one fanobsessioncrush of all time. Period.

My friend neoshadow1986 and I were talking about Jolie and how stupid it would be if she was Catwoman, and I was like, "Get someone like Milla Jovovich. Someone pale and tough without being all 'I'm Angelina Jolie'. I think that narrows it down considerably. Or at least a little bit."

I know. I shall miss Jim Carrey's Riddler like crazy, but someone needs to be able to pull off a dark edge. And even though Carrey was fantastic in the Number 23, it doesn't matter because he's already been the Riddler and people will expect him to do the same thing.

Look at the RE movies, she was banging there. *hopehopehope*

And yes, I'm obsessed with the Joker right now. Heath is amazing, and yes I love him, but I'm definately all about the J-man. *squees*

Why do people not understand when I say "I love the Joker", I mean "I love the Joker" and not "I love Heath Ledger"?

I've had people tell me "But he's dead." Then I'm all, "NO! Heath's dead. the Joker's in prison. DUH!"
