Ugh. Ouch. Thanks for that big of gut-wrenching. I wonder what exactly it is she saw.

I'd like to elaborate sometime on what memories he showed her. Perhaps they were the things she wanted to know.

Ron's face makes me blue, but I guess the drabble deserved it.

Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment, it's appreciated, :).

Augh, I know. It's draining to write 100 words of this. If I ever expand such a complicated thing, I'll need to do it on a holiday in the sun.

Thanks for reading, :).

i admit i had a bit of trouble following this one (had to get to the comments to get it a bit more) but that mighr be partly due to the fact that for some reason my eyes jumped right to the end of it. :p

seeing what, anyway? memories of remus and sirius? but why would she want to see that in the first place? seems like a guaranteed way to get depressed...

No, I think you're right that the prompt (which is not written directly into the drabble) needs to be carried into the reading for it to be the clearest. The prompt is almost a bit of pre-reading to the drabble because it wasn't precisely stated that the scene follows the use of a pensieve between Remus and Tonks. I couldn't find a way to reconcile that in 100 words.

seems like a guaranteed way to get depressed.

Yeah, sometimes the whole truth is necessary. Even if it's depressing. Because I do ship Remus and Tonks (cos I want Teddy to exist!) I prefer the idea that Tonks came to realize on her own that she made a mistake marrying Remus, not that she clung to him happily till the very end.

Thanks for your comments, though! I always appreciate them!

ETA: 'Because I do ship Remus and Tonks (cos I want Teddy to exist!)' : haha, I was just perusing my older fics archive, and although I accept this pairing in canon, I've never been able to finish a fic I've started about them. And I find that surprising since I'm pretty open to ( ... )

First, I love your icon. It's the second 'boys folder' icon I've seen in 24 hours.

Second, thank you so much for thinking this is biting. The whole thing between Remus and Tonks is far bigger than 100 words, but I just had to get this out of my head for tonight, :\.

I cut that it's short, it's kind of like a quick slap that stings for longer than it even took to happen.

And thank you! Adrian and his BOYS folder make my life consitently happier :D

Oooh, kinda like the whole Remus/Tonks relationship, circa books 6 and 7?

Adrian and his BOYS folder make my life consitently happier

Hey, take your happiness from wherever you can find it, :D.

Brilliant. Not a huge fan of R/T, but the mere fact that 1)Tonks caught a glimpse of R/S's relationship and 2)the reader had to imagine what she could have seen is actually the most interesting part of the ficlet. :)

Ah, wow, thanks for reading this. Yes, I agree with your #1. As I've told others, I accept R/T in canon since I want Teddy to exist, but their relationship is complicated for R/S reasons, not just Remus' 'too old, too dangerous' defense.

Thanks for really nice compliments on a ficlet I was a little unsure of. Means a lot, :D!

I fear that JKR only brought Remus and Tonks together so that Teddy would exist (what, my theory doesn't fit canon? XD)

Augh, I accept your theory, and I also fear JKR wanted to create another orphan to parallel her hero who barely survived seven books as an orphan himself!

Why couldn't Teddy be Teddy Weasley who lives happily with Mother Tonks and Father Charlie?
