I love how Harry is as perfectly clueless here as he is in canon. "It's kind of an unlikely coincidence but Severus Snape has moved close your place, so you might run into him," Harry said. "Just to let you know. Anyway I also invited him to the party. You can practice being civil towards him." Yep, exactly, Harry. Way to not see what is going in right under your nose. He did understand Sirius' "Excitement," though - which I suppose says something. LOL.

Again, Snape was very real here and very touching. Even that bit at Harry's party was touching. But this, this broke my heart just a little: Before the end of the war, Severus has never allowed himself to live. Since the day Lily had died and he had agreed to work as a double agent he had been biding time, waiting for the next briefing, the next mission ( ... )
