MAIN AREA OF THE SHOP

It is -- I took Amaterasu there earlier. They can give him some medication and he can rest in the back if you'd like. Amaterasu is resting there already.

[ Pocchi has somehow worked up the courage from behind Kakashi's ankle to inch his way up to Drifter, sniffing at him very cautiously. ]

[She sighs and goes over to kneel next to the wolfhound, petting his head. He sets his head in her lap and echoes her sigh, watching Pocchi inch over with benign eyes.]

I hate to make him walk, and he really is too big for me to carry. I'll pick up the medicine and bring it back for him, he's not injured behind the effects from the lake. Can you keep an eye on him? I won't be gone long.

Sure.

I can take him to the back and have him lie down and give him some water.

[ Kakashi watches as Pocchi finally finishes the careful inching and sniffs at Drifter, then whines softly and nudges at him with his nose. He seems to have lost his fear of the large dog and is quickly growing concerned about him. ]

I'd appreciate that.

[She's just petting the dog's ears, openly concerned for the moment in contrast to her usual sharp, uncaring persona.

Drifter gives the puppy what was supposed to be a gentle nudge back, and sends the pup tumbling onto his side.]

[ Pocchi yelps softly as he falls onto his side, but rights himself and moves back over to Drifter, staring up at him with large eyes. He then decides to nuzzle him a little.

Kakashi's expression softens and he crouches down by them, reaching a hand out to gently pet behind the back of Drifter's neck. ]

Should we bring him to the back?

Sure. Up, mutt. You're bigger than me, I'm not carrying you. You can have a turkey breast later, when you're feeling better.

[The wolfhound lurches to his feet, bending down to give Pocchi a sniff before ambling after his mistress.]

[ Kakashi and Pocchi follow after them, heading to the room in the back that is set up as a resting area for the evening. ]

[Oh dear. Robin hadn't realized that the rallying point would be an adult store. It made her snicker a bit, actually.

She pushed the door open quietly, and looked around for the owner.]

[Sirius had been hanging around the shop. It's driving him a bit mad to be waiting around here when there's Things to Be Doing out there--far more important things. He'd said that he would be here, and a Gryffindor is always a Man of His Word--but the fact is, if something didn't happen soon, he'd slip out and leave them to it.

Ah, but then someone came into the shop--a lady, peering around. Sirius leaned across the counter and grinned.]

You buying or selling, then?

[Blinks at the boy behind the counter, then smiles back at his grin.]

You couldn't afford me.

[atrumcanis]

[He whistles at that, impressed.]

Phoor, quite sharp, aren't you? Fortunately I like a bit of bite. Is it rescuing you're wanting, or are you here to rescue? Kakashi's about, I s'ppose he's the one who told you to come here--this is his shop. And I'm Sirius, Miss High End.

[history_pirate]

[A small, polite dip of the head.] Robin. I've come to help.

[atrumcanis]

Robin, right. And what is it that you do, Robin? Only if it's search and rescue type stuff, we're going to be hanging about a bit and waiting. The boss wants to get things together, do some planning, all of that rot. S'ppose it's for the best.

[history_pirate]

I see. I suppose I'll be waiting with you, then. How much longer do you think it will take?

[atrumcanis]

Sirens are due to go off in a bit more'n a half hour. [He sighs slightly, a little frustrated with the delay.] Then it's full speed ahead, and so on. Are you the patient type?
