Snape cannot escape the Snake

Who: Severus Snape (potionsmaster) and Orochimaru (snakeinpants)
When: May 30th, just before the evening sirens
Where: 10th district, Snape's slumlord apartment
Summary: Orochimaru is out looking for a few good men and finds something even better.
Warnings: Snake and Snape. Ttly innocent amrite. In other words, TBD.

He lifted his head from the papers he had smuggled 'home' from the library as the alarms sounded. He stood up, abandoning the papers and picking up his wand, heading toward the front door of the apartment. Who could it possibly be?

Not one of the homeless from outside. He'd made sure to scare them off. And it just was not possible for Black or Potter to have found him so quickly. Briefly, Snape thought of the rather irritable young woman who he had insulted via the network. Could it possibly be her?

Nonsense. He'd given her no clues as to his location. It had to be someone else. But who could it be? Snape crept down the hallways, then when he got to the centre of his building he moved his wand. Homenum Revelio! gave him the source of the intrusion, a man standing nowhere near a door at the west wall of the first floor. Severus scowled, then Apparated quietly, down the hall from the man.

"Lumos!" His wand lit up. "Who goes there, and how did you get in?"

It was strange. The building had seemed like a likely candidate from outside, but he could sense only one source of chakra inside. He was about to leave when the source started heading his way. It seemed he had been detected.

He heard an odd word and then a light appeared at the end of the hallway. Orochimaru looked up and smiled. It did not quite reach his eyes.

"Oh? Not what I was expecting," he said, sounding pleased.

Severus scowled as he saw the face of the man who was in his building. He recalled speaking to him before. Some strange Japanese name, or perhaps it was Chinese.

"You." He said. "What are you doing here? And how did you get into this building?" Severus cast his eyes over at the nearest door, which was still firmly locked and barred.

"You should not be in here."

Orochimaru stepped closer to the light. It was hard to see who was behind it as the hallway was dark. He did not recognize the voice, either.

"You seem to know me, yet you do not know about me. Interesting." That narrowed it down a little, but not by much.

"I do not take well to being ordered around." His smile spread the slightest bit.
