[ Amy was definitely suspicious ... well, maybe not suspicious but skeptical. Would he really know what to do with her sonic? He seemed fairly young and not at all from this time period. Then again, neither did the Doctor. It was hard to judge appearances these days.

But why not? There wasn't much else to do, and she's been tinkering around with the thing so much, she didn't mind another pair of eyes getting to look at it.

And when he answers the door, she smiles down at him, suddenly feeling a bit old and ridiculous. ] Hi. Ehm, sorry if I'm a bit late.

[The boy's smile quavers when he takes in the sight of her. My, but her hair is red. Not that he hadn't known that about her already, but it still makes him nervous. Still, he keeps smiling, ignoring the way his pulse picks up and the adrenaline starts pumping.]

...You're just fine. It's nice to finally meet in person, Amy! Come along to the kitchen, please.

[Inside the house is rather cozy for all that it's a veritable fortress. Czeslaw does not offer to give a tour, walking straight to the kitchen with his hands clasped behind his back. He pulls the chair for Amy before fussing about with the stool and the coffee pot.]

[ Amy notices the small nervous ticks from him, but she can't be sure why that is. He's younger, so there could be a few reasons. Either way, she keeps a smile in hopes of relieving whatever tension there was for me. ]

Right. You too. It's always better than a face on a tiny screen, wouldn't you say?

[ She steps inside, eyes immediately going to the ceiling and everything else in the room. Not bad for a kid. Definitely made her flat look like rubbish dump. Eventually she catches back up and takes the seat. ]

Thanks. Other people live here with you, yeah?

I'm really not used to that kind of thing. But progress always marches onward - at least if you're only moving through time in one direction, I guess.

A lot of people live here - mostly from my friend Michael's world. The population shrinks and grows a lot, with so many people coming and going. I don't even know all of them that well. It's not all that different from the boarding house I was at before Michael made me move in here, really.

[The boy pours coffee, sprinkling salt in his by habit, and setting Amy's down beside her with a small tub of sugar.]

Do you want milk for that? There's bound to be some in the fridge, I can get it out.
