[Sector Four is quiet tonight, the monsters roaming without trouble. There's very few people caught outside tonight and for that, she's grateful. She can focus on fighting, training herself, and maybe she can turn in early without feeling guilty. Everything seems okay.

When she passes by the diamond, she hears the gunshots and the shouting. The few monsters around are converging on the noise, eager to eat. She narrows her eyes and tosses herself into the fray.

She kills one of the dogs easily, slicing through its throat. She moves into the diamond and towards the noise, surprised to see who's causing it.]

Sam?

[She hurries over to help him.]

Over here! [as if the scene weren't enough to draw her attention already. There are only two dogs left from the pack, but they're eager jumpers. Upon seeing Re-l, they think they've found easier prey.

They're wrong, of course.]

[Well, at least she could draw away their attention. She pulls out the shotgun that's strapped to her thigh and raises it, waiting for the dogs to press closer. She waits until they're within range and then shoots twice, getting one in the face and the other in the neck as it jumps.

She reloads as she heads over to him.]

Are you alright?

Yeah. I'm all right. [carefully jumping down. He keeps the gun out though - never know what's going to sneak out of the Darkness when you aren't looking.]

...Shotgun, huh? Always found those too big for me.

[ooc: Lemme know if I should change anything! I wasn't sure on this making sense but I was stuck for any other ideas.]

[With even more reason not to go outside at night, as if you needed another, you think Rochelle would be smarter than not to be caught out here. Yeah, Rochelle thought so too. But an AK-47 in your hand, an axe strapped to your back, and a desert eagle in the holster on your hip makes things a hell of a lot easier. When the news van ran out of gas and she didn't have much choice but to walk, she was silently thanking god for hiding her weapons in the back ( ... )

((looks fine to me!))

[well that was a familiar voice, if not one he'd heard recently. (Then again, after a year and a half, how "recent" could he say anything was?)] Rochelle? - Watch out, there's still a few hounds left!

[they'd been circling around the structure, keeping to the shadows. At the sound of someone approaching however, they snarl and dart out to run at Rochelle. Sam tries to pick one off, firing a quick shot.]

Cool then! axemeaquestion December 2 2011, 00:27:18 UTC
[And Rochelle thought it was long enough she hadn't talked to him in a few weeks. Had it been a month by now? She couldn't remember.

But that wasn't what she was focused on right now.]

I got it!

[Now that she was close enough--yep. Those were definately hounds her head had pinged her too. Without another thought she was firing quick, short bursts from the AK-47. Most of them dropped, fast. The last ones left were at least wounded at slowed, but they weren't going to be hard to take care of any finish off.]

[holy shit. It's been a while since Sam's been this close to an assault rifle.

Actually - scratch that. Sam's never been this close to an assault rifle. Forgive the shifter for looking jumpy after the monsters are put down. Damn, girl.] ...Jesus. You got a name for that thing?

[and he'll take out one with a shot to the chest - another he'll fire at, miss, and fire at again. Second time's the charm.]
