Syaoran was walking down the street as he was propping his fully-covered sword case on one of his shoulders. He had to make it as least suspecting as possible because of the fact that the newcomers like them are considered dangerous enough in this area. It didn't help that a certain incident yesterday he got involved with even more trouble. He kept walking and hoped that he would just be able to come home quietly today. He's tired from the day's work ( ... )

He smelled the boy coming before he heard him. Rather, he smelled the food which was being carried. Something warm, sweet and fruity. Warm food was quite the novelty for Broadway since he'd come to Siren's Port. He wondered if it were a trick... like there was some new Darkness monster that smelled like what you wanted most in order to lure you out from behind a dumpster full of bird-rats and leftovers.

Then the source of the smell spoke, and appeared from around the corner, offering a tidbit as if it were coaxing out a timid raccoon. His expression changed drastically when he realized his mistake, and Broadway had to bite the inside of his cheek to keep from laughing at the poor guy outright.

Still, he did offer the food, right ( ... )

Syaoran has seen the craziest things in life, so he didn't really hold an expression as if this was the first time seeing something that isn't ordinary. He did, however, didn't move an inch even after he had given the bread to the... gargoyle. A talking, moving gargoyle.

He kept watching him, until as if an imaginary brick fell unto his head and stepped back once, but not because of fear. He blinked his eyes a few times again just to make sure he wasn't just too tired that he's seeing things.

"...--A-ah, no... I..."

Nope, he's fully conscious and he is seeing a talking gargoyle. Syaoran was a bit cautious regardless of looking like a clumsy child that stepped over mud. He eventually gave a faint smile since the other being didn't look harmless. He would've received a scratch by now if that was the case.

"... Y-you're welcome, ah, sir..."

Though not as scrawny as Miharu, and hopefully not as prone to collapsing, this kid was certainly as timid. Where were all the parents in this freaking city, anyway? No wonder all the kids were getting kidnapped...

"Look, it's not that I'm trying to get rid of you, but you know you probably shouldn't be out by yourself like this, after dark, right? It's not really safe."

A rat-pigeon pecked at one of his feet, hungry for meat, and he kicked it absent-mindedly, rolling his eyes.

"Monsters, huh?" he expressed, as if this kid knew all about the little annoyances involved with living among the Darkness.
